{"id":118,"date":"2012-07-10T02:07:18","date_gmt":"2012-07-10T02:07:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nolanso.com\/wordpress\/?p=118"},"modified":"2012-12-15T13:52:15","modified_gmt":"2012-12-15T20:52:15","slug":"ncso-deputies-and-local-officers-receive-tactical-police-driving-skills","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/nolanso.com\/wordpress\/ncso-deputies-and-local-officers-receive-tactical-police-driving-skills\/","title":{"rendered":"NCSO Deputies and local officers receive tactical police driving skills"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nolanso.com\/wordpress\/?attachment_id=248\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-248\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-248\" alt=\"Performance Review\" src=\"https:\/\/nolanso.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/Performance-Review.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"504\" srcset=\"http:\/\/nolanso.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/Performance-Review.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/nolanso.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/Performance-Review-300x147.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a>Area officers from the Nolan County Sheriff\u2019s Office, Sweetwater Police Department and Texas Department of Public Safety were trained over the last two days in high performance tactical police driving maneuvers.\u00a0 Four specialized driving instructors, all Troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety and one intern came to Sweetwater to offer the instruction that covered two days, Monday, July 9 and Tuesday, July 10.<\/p>\n<p>The instructors for this course were Texas DPS Troopers from Eastland, Graham, Plainview and Brownwood who really put on a top notch school and challenged the participants.\u00a0 The City of Sweetwater and Avenger Field Airport were gracious to allow us to utilize a portion of the airport for this training.\u00a0 TSTC provided a classroom and the local TXDOT office provided the orange traffic cones, most of which survived the two day encounter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Daniel Olds, with Stamford Police Department, received the \u201cTop Driver\u201d award for Monday\u2019s session and Sgt.
