Burglary of Vehicle (Sweetwater)

The Nolan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a theft that occurred over the weekend at the Estes Express Lines terminal located in the 10000 block on Interstate Highway Twenty, in Sweetwater. It was reported that an unknown person(s) used force to enter the fenced property. Once inside, the thieve(s) entered several trailers and took items that ranged from an assortment name brand cigarettes, bed sheets, air fresheners, and moon pie snacks. The combined value of the items taken, as well as damage to the property is estimated at approximately $52,000.00.

Traffic stop leads to an arrest and seizure of methamphetamine

FERGESON, WILLIAM CORYOn Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at approximately 5:55pm, a Nolan County deputy initiated a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Elm Street, adjacent to a nearby park and school property. The stop was a result of a minor traffic infraction, and upon speaking with the driver, William Fergeson of Sweetwater, the deputy noticed indications of criminal activity, whereupon he requested and received consent to search the vehicle.

Fergeson was requested to exit the vehicle where a pat down of his person was conducted, and a small plastic baggy containing suspected methamphetamine was discovered, as well as paraphernalia used in its consumption.

Fergeson was arrested and transported to the Nolan County jail where he was charged with the felony offense of possession of controlled substance in drug free zone. The case will be filed with the 32nd Judicial District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.

Theft (Roscoe)

The Nolan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of a utility trailer that was taken from the county road 152 area near Roscoe. It was reported that an unknown person(s) cut a lock, entered the property and took the trailer sometime after 6:00PM on Tuesday, April 21, 2015. The utility trailer was described as having a single axle and is black in color.

Indecency with a Child by Exposure

MCQUEEN, BILLY EUGENE SROn Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at approximately 4:00PM, Nolan County Sheriff’s Deputies, along with DPS, and the Nolan County Constable responded to the area of the Sweetwater Middle School to assist officers of the Sweetwater Police Department. It was reported that a man, who was in the area, had exposed himself to children that were outside in after school athletics. After a search of the area was conducted, the suspect, Billy Eugene McQueen Sr., was located approximately 75 yards from the school property. McQueen was subsequently arrested by Sweetwater Police and transported to the Nolan County Jail, where he was booked for the offense of Indecency with a Child by Exposure.

Nolan County’s Most Wanted Fugitive

TOMLIN, TUCKER DANNolan County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information that leads to the location and arrest of wanted fugitive, Tucker Dan Tomlin. The 31 year-old is wanted in Nolan County on two outstanding warrants, issued out of the 32nd Judicial District Court, both for engaging in organized criminal activity. The warrants were issued in October 2014, and so far, Tomlin has evaded capture. The Nolan County Sheriff’s Office needs your help to bring him to justice. Tomlin is a white male, 31 years old, 5’11”, 155 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Tomlin is from Nolan County, but is known to have associates in the Abilene area.
