On Tuesday, May 31, 2017, the Nolan County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a Burglary that occurred in the 300 block of County Road 205, in Nolan. It was reported that sometime between Sunday, May 14, 2017, and Friday, May 26, 2017, an unknown person(s) traveled onto the property, and used force to enter a barn. Once inside, the thieve(s) took a 16’ tandem axle utility trailer, that was loaded with a smaller single axle utility trailer. The property that was taken has a combined value of approximately $2,600.00.

Theft (Sweetwater)

On Friday, May 12, 2017, the Nolan County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a theft that occurred at the 345 Ranch, located in the 100 block of Avenger Field Road, in Sweetwater. It was reported that sometime between Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 6:00PM hours and Friday, May 12, 2017 at 6:45PM, an unknown person(s) traveled onto the property and took a black 18’ tandem axle trailer that was loaded with construction equipment. The combined value of the trailer and equipment is estimated at approximately $5,221.00.

Burglary of Building (Roscoe)

On Sunday, April 23, 2017, deputies of the Nolan County Sheriff’s Office and Roscoe Police responded to a burglary alarm at the Rocking S Cantina, located at 810 12th Street, in Roscoe. Once on scene, a preliminary investigation was conducted and it was found that sometime between the hours of 11:00PM and 11:34PM, an unknown person used force by breaking a front glass door to enter the business. Once inside, the thief took a half gallon bottle of liquor. The combination of property taken, as well as damage to the business is estimated at approximately $3,500.00.

Unauthorized Use of Vehicle (Lake Sweetwater)

On Tuesday, January 24, 2017, deputies responded to the report of a stolen vehicle, in the 500 block of county road 247, Lake Sweetwater. It was reported that sometime between January 19, 2017 and January 24, 2017, an unknown person(s) took a tan 2002 Ford F-250 4-door pickup truck from the property. The vehicle is reported to be valued at approximately $5,834.00, including contents.

Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon (Blackwell)

On Monday, January 23, 2017, deputies responded to the report of a man that had been intentionally run over by a vehicle, in 14000 block of Highway 70 in Blackwell. It was reported that sometime between the hours of 1:43PM and 2:00PM, a vehicle was located parked on the victim’s property, and after contacting the driver, the victim reported that the driver sped off, and ran over him in the process. The driver of the vehicle was described as a light skinned white male, approximately 50 or 60 years of age, 5’8” tall and weighing approximately 150 to 160lbs., with gray hair and wearing a full mustache. The vehicle was described as a dark gray four-door midsize sedan with dark tinted windows, possibly a Ford, or a foreign make and model.
