Nolan County’s Most Wanted Fugitive

ROYAL, ROMAN ANGELO BATTEN, CHRISTINAThe Nolan County Sheriff’s Office is actively searching for Roman Angelo Royal, a fugitive who has been hiding to avoid detection by law enforcement. Royal has an outstanding felony warrant issued out of Nolan County for Unauthorized Use of Vehicle, as well as additional out-of-county felony warrants. The Nolan County Sheriff’s Office needs your help to bring Royal to justice. He is a 23 year-old black male, 5’11”, 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Royal will most likely be accompanied by his girlfriend, Christina Batten, a 18 year-old white female, 5’6”, 135 pounds with blonde hair and green eyes. The duo was last known to reside at 609 Pease, Sweetwater.

Capital Murder Suspect Arrested

PRUITT, JAMIE AKEEMThe Nolan County Sheriff’s Office has recently been assisting the Snyder Police Department and Texas Rangers in the ongoing murder investigation of Justin Vaughn, of Snyder.

After the arrests of Christopher Devon Boyd and Ray Anthony Gutierrez in Nolan County, the Midland County Sheriff’s Office reported that a third suspect, Jammie Akeem Pruitt, 26, was also arrested on a Capital Murder charge for the death of Justin Vaughn.

On Friday, February 26, 2016, after receiving information that Pruitt was inside a Midland home, surveillance was setup and his presence was verified. At approximately 4:30PM, members of the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force took Pruitt into custody in the 900 block of College Avenue, without incident.

Off-Duty deputies play key-role in the apprehension of capital murder suspect

GUTIERREZ, RAY ANTHONYRay Anthony Gutierrez, 26, a man wanted on a Capital Murder charge for the death of Justin Vaughn, of Snyder, was apprehended after being spotted by two off-duty deputies.

On Saturday, February 13, 2016, two off-duty deputies who while walking, spotted Gutierrez traveling south in a white sedan on the northeast side of Sweetwater. The deputies were able to quickly acquire a vehicle and trail Gutierrez, while contacting the Sweetwater Police Department for assistance in apprehending him.

The vehicle Gutierrez was traveling in was subsequently stopped by a Sweetwater Police Officer in the 400 block of 12th Street, where the deputies and police officers took Gutierrez into custody without incident.

Deputies assist in the execution of a capital murder warrant

BOYD, CHRISTOPHER DEVONNolan County deputies assisted the Roscoe Police Department in arresting Christopher Devon Boyd, 21, a man wanted on a Capital Murder charge for the death of Justin Vaughn, of Snyder.

On Thursday, February 11, 2016, Nolan County deputies, Investigators with the 32nd Judicial District Attorney’s Office, Nolan County Constable and DPS were on hand to assist the Roscoe Police Department in serving an arrest warrant shortly before 12pm, in Roscoe. After securing a perimeter, entry was made into a residence where Boyd was located and taken into custody without incident.

Deputies put an end to fugitives escape from justice

JOSHUA GALINDOOn Friday, January 1, 2016 shortly after New Year, Nolan County Sheriff’s deputies descended on a residence at 904 Bowie Street, where Joshua Galindo was reported to be. After being confronted by deputies outside the residence, Galindo attempted to evade but was quickly taken into custody, bringing his escape from justice to an end.

Galindo was transported to the Nolan County jail where he was processed for three (3) outstanding warrants, one issued out of the 32nd Judicial District Court in Nolan County for Burglary of Habitation/Intend other Felony, another issued out of the 1st Multicounty Court at Law for Interference with an Emergency Call and one issued out of Andrews County for Assault Causes Bodily Injury.

Coordinating efforts key to fugitive apprehension

TOMLIN, TUCKER DANOn Monday, November 30, 2015, Nolan County deputy Chad Mitchell in collaboration with Sergeant Jason Haak of the Abilene Police Department and the Fraud Unit apprehended a felon who has been hiding to avoid detection by law enforcement.

Earlier today, Deputy Mitchell along with Sergeant Haak and the fraud unit made entry into a residence located in the 2200 block of Amarillo Street, Abilene. Once inside, the team was able to locate Tucker Dan Tomlin, a Sweetwater man wanted by the Nolan County Sheriff’s Office for Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, Escape from Custody, Resist Arrest/Search Transport and Theft of Property, a combination of felony and misdemeanor offenses. Tomlin was placed under arrest and transported to the Taylor County jail where he was booked in on the outstanding warrants.
