Traffic Stop leads to three arrests and seizure of suspected methamphetamine

CLARK, CASEY PAUL LEDESMA, JOHN WESLEY MURGUIA, DANICA LEIGH

On Saturday, May 7, 2016, just after midnight, a Nolan County deputy stopped a gray Nissan sedan for a minor traffic infraction. Contact was made with the driver, Casey Clark, of Aspermont who was accompanied by passengers, John Ledesma, of Granbury and Danica Murguia, also of Aspermont.

During a roadside investigation, the deputy detected indicators of criminal activity; thereafter consent to search the vehicle was requested and received. A State Trooper that was nearby responded and assisted the deputy while a search of the vehicle was conducted, that subsequently lead to the discovery of suspected methamphetamine. As other deputies arrived, the trooper then assisted the deputy in the search and discovered more suspected methamphetamine.

All three occupants were placed under arrest and transported to the Nolan County jail where they were charged with the felony offense of possession of methamphetamine. This case will be filed with the 32nd Judicial District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
