Magistration
is the procedure where a prisoner charged with an offense
is brought before a Magistrate (Judge) and the Magistrate
informs the prisoner of his or her Constitutional Rights
and of the charge or charges that have been brought against
him or her. The Magistrate then sets the Bail Amount.
The magistrate sets his or her own schedule and time,
thus Magistration times will vary depending on the Magistrate's
schedule.
