Sex
Offender Registration |
Chapter 62 of
the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure establishes the rules
and procedures for sex offender registration and public
notification. This law requires offenders to register
with the local law enforcement authority of the city or
county in which they reside, and verify the accuracy of
their address, employment and a description of vehicles
that they may operate.
In an effort to take a proactive approach to ensure
that offenders are in compliance with the Texas Sex
Offender Registration Program, Nolan County Sheriff's
Office investigators conduct checks and follow up investigations
on offenders and secure criminal charges as warranted.
The Nolan County Sheriff's Office wants to arm you
with the tools to keep your children safe.
Offenders can be searched by accessing the Sex
Offender Registry web site. If you know of anyone
that is not in this database and is an offender residing
in a rural area of Nolan County, you are encouraged
to contact the Sheriff's Office at
or click here to submit
a tip.
