| Medical physician
services are contracted and an on site infirmary is provided,
that ensures the prompt delivery of comprehensive health
care services to all individuals who are detained in the
custody of the Sheriff's Office in a timely manner; taking
all necessary precautions to prevent the spread of communicable
and contagious diseases, and maintaining a stable health
status for prisoners and employees alike. The jail facility
is ADA compliant and is located within seven minutes or
5.0 miles from the Rolling
Plains Memorial Hospital.
The Sheriff's Office contracts health professionals
to provide medical and mental health services on-site
and off-site. Staff members consist of physicians, psychiatrists,
dentists, registered nurses, licensed vocational nurses,
social workers, and recreational and occupational therapists.
Mental Health
Mental health services are provided by the West
Texas Centers for MHMR.
